Kevin C. Matthews, CO/LO Orthotist and CEO
|

I have over 25 years of experience as an orthotist; 13 of which
have been spent here in San Antonio, TX. I have worked for 3
of the largest O&P facilities in San Antonio and finally decided
to open my own practice. I was trained as an Orthotist at the
Academy of Health Sciences at Brooke Army Medical Center in
1982. I was honorably discharged in 1993.
Kids are my specialty, but I am certainly not limited to
Pediatrics. I do work for "children" of all ages, 0-90.
I truly enjoy my work. I thrive on creating new and innovative
designs to use in my Orthoses. While most patients do well in
standard designs, sometimes we need to think outside the
box to achieve optimal results. I consider each case individually
and believe in individualized care plans. I have learned a great
deal in my years and like to share the knowledge. I teach
every year at our annual state meetings; I taught five hours at
a recent Oklahoma meeting and I was invited to teach
I am proud of the practice we have built and cannot wait to
see what the future holds for us.

Sarah Matthews Patient Coordinator
|
Sarah is Kevin's daughter and is currently the Patient
Coordinator. Her's is the first smiling face you'll see
when you come in to our office. Sarah has been with
us since the very beginning. She was our only front
office person and did it all. She learned so much in a
short time.
"I'm enjoying working with my dad and other family
members. Ours really is a family business. Its been
an awesome experience so far, and seems like its only
going to get better." -Sarah
"Going into this I knew that there was going to be a
lot to learn. Running an office is definitely not one of
the easiest things I've attempted, but I'm learning a
lot and loving it all. I can't wait to see what the future
holds for us and our practice! :)" -Sarah
"I am very proud of my little girl. She managed my
office through some pretty difficult times in the
beginning, and put up with me. I am so glad she put
up with me. It was a little stressful starting out. It
made it a little easier having my daughter with me
each day." -Kevin

Christopher Leos, C-PED Certified Pedorthist/Lab Manager
|
Chris is my right hand in the lab. He is the one I turn
to for anything having to do with fabrication. When I
want to try a new design, we brainstorm together to
find a way to make it work. Our "Texas Turbo" design
would never have come to fruition without Chris. He
is my #2 and I am proud to say I trained him. There
seems to be no limit to his talent and we are lucky to
have him. Chris is responsible for the quality of the
products we provide, which is second to none.
Chris and Michelle recently had a baby girl, Alessandra
Elyse Leos, born 4/19/2010. He is a very proud papa.
Chris also enjoys working out daily, playing on our
softball team and fixing up his new house.

Johnnie is also a state licensed and ABC Certified
Prosthetist/Orthotist. Johnnie started practicing in
1965 while serving in the US Army during the Vietnam
War and has been practicing ever since. He

set up was accredited by the American Board for
Certification in O&P, no small feat. He was honorably
discharged in 1978 after serving 20 years.
He now only practices Prosthetics and has quite a
following of patients. He is exceptionally
knowledgeable in all the latest high-tech componentry

the hard-to-fit amputee. He has seen some pretty
gruesome amputations from the war and has had to
be pretty inventive.
We are very pleased to have Johnnie's knowledge and
experience on our staff. He brings a lot to the table
and someone with his experience is very hard to find.
Kevin has known Johnnie since 1982 when Johnnie
was his primary instructor in school. "Johnnie and I

up. Good help is hard to find and you don't pass on
talent like his." -Kevin
